Making an appointment

The first step to beginning therapy is a brief phone conversation to determine whether or not the reasons for seeking therapy fall within my realm of expertise. If we determine that this is the case, an initial consultation will be scheduled. The initial appointment is typically an information gathering session for both of us, a 45-55 minute session where we get to know one another through a conversation about presenting issues and my method. This allows us to determine more fully if we are a good fit to move forward with therapy, and if so, an appointment will be made to continue the therapeutic process. If at any point during this process we determine that we are not a good fit, I will refer you to someone who may have more expertise in a given area.

Important note: I am currently only providing telehealth services to clients residing in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. I utilize Simple Practice scheduling and telehealth software to maintain your privacy.

Fees

My rate is $150 per 45-55 minute session, payable by cash, check, card, or CashApp at the time of the session. It is my belief that quality therapy should be available to everyone who seeks it. Therefore, I work with people who do not feel able to pay my full fee through the use of a sliding-scale system. Additionally, I accept Aetna and Health Choice (Oklahoma) insurances and can be an out-of-network provider for most other insurance plans. Please mention how you plan to pay for sessions including any financial needs you may have during our phone/email consultation.

Confidentiality

The privacy of my clients is of the utmost importance to me. I follow HIPAA policies in protecting the confidentiality of the people I work with in an effort to create an environment in which they can feel safe to bring anything to the process. If we utilize telehealth for sessions, it is important for you to find a private, quiet space with secure and consistent internet connection.
